1. Regulatory Compliance
People Pons d.o.o. operates as an authorised employment mediation agency in accordance with the Labour Market Act of the Republic of Croatia and its accompanying regulations.
We hold the following licences issued by the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy:
- Licence 205/20 — employment-related activity (employment mediation), pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 9 of the Labour Market Act. This is our primary and active service.
- Licence 359/20 — temporary employment agency (worker assignment), pursuant to Article 52 of the Labour Act. We hold this licence, but the assignment of labour is not our active service — see point 2.
Both licences were issued on 6 August 2020 and are verifiable in the registry of the Ministry of Labour of the Republic of Croatia. They are valid for mediation within the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Our operations are subject to the supervision of the aforementioned Ministry.
2. The Distinction Between Mediation and Labour Leasing
People Pons d.o.o. carries out the activity of employment mediation, which is legally distinct from labour leasing (temporary employment, worker leasing).
- The candidates we present are employed directly by the client-employer, under that employer's own employment contract
- People Pons d.o.o. does not become the candidate's formal employer
- Our role ends with the provision of the mediation service and the agreed support during the guarantee period
3. GDPR and the Protection of Personal Data
The processing of the personal data of candidates and employers complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.
A data protection contact has been appointed: dpo@peoplepons.com.
Detailed information on processing is set out in our Privacy Policy and GDPR Notice. The procedure for exercising rights and for the deletion of data is described on the Data Deletion page.
4. AI Transparency
We use the AI assistant Leo, which is based on Anthropic Claude technology. In accordance with the principles of transparency:
- Users are clearly informed when they are communicating with the AI assistant (and not with a human)
- Leo does not make final hiring decisions — all decisions are reviewed by a human advisor
- Candidates may at any time request a human review of their case
- Leo does not carry out automated processing producing legal effects within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR
We are preparing for the application of the requirements of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) for medium-risk systems in the field of employment.
5. Equality in Employment
People Pons d.o.o. is committed to non-discrimination in the mediation process. We do not discriminate against candidates on the basis of:
- race, ethnicity, nationality or origin
- sex, gender identity or sexual orientation
- age
- religion or worldview
- disability (where the position permits)
- other characteristics that are not directly relevant to the ability to perform the job
Our service is guided exclusively by the professional qualifications, experience and motivation of the candidate. Every complaint of discrimination is investigated seriously.
6. Anti-Corruption
People Pons d.o.o. neither requests nor accepts any informal paid services, bribes or unofficial benefits from candidates. The mediation service is free of charge for the worker. The fee is paid exclusively by the client-employer, in accordance with the cooperation agreement.
If anyone requests money, a deposit or an informal fee from you on our behalf, please report it immediately to dpo@peoplepons.com or by telephone at +385 91 514 0192.
7. Data Security
We apply technical and organisational protection measures, including:
- encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
- role-based access control
- storage of candidate data on servers within the EU (Frankfurt, Germany)
- standard contractual clauses (SCCs) for transfers outside the EU (e.g. Anthropic (Claude))
- regular security checks and backups
8. Reporting Non-Compliance
If you observe any conduct that you consider non-compliant with the law or with these principles, please report it confidentially:
E-mail: dpo@peoplepons.com
Telephone: +385 91 514 0192
All reports are considered seriously and are processed in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Whistleblowers.
